By db-admin

DBasia.news – For Samuel Eto’o, Barcelona has merged with Lionel Messi. The Cameroon striker also hopes that Barcelona can fight hard to keep Messi.

Messi’s future at Barcelona is being speculated. Although his contract at the Camp Nou will expire in 2021, Messi is reportedly looking to leave Barcelona.

The Argentine star is reportedly already stifled by the club’s current condition. Barcelona had just closed the season in shame after being defeated by Bayern Munich with a score of 2-8 in the Champions League quarter-finals.

There are already several European clubs linked with Messi. It is reported that Inter Milan and Manchester City have great potential to bring in the 33-year-old player.

Eto’o also opened up regarding the situation that Barcelona and Messi were facing. He can’t imagine Barcelona without Messi.

“There is a need to do everything to ensure Messi completes his career at Barcelona,” said Eto’o from TyC Sports as reported by Marca.

“I hope those who make decisions will do it for the good of Barcelona. I love Messi like my own son.”

“Barcelona is Messi. I always want the best for Messi, but the club is Messi,” continued the player who played for Barcelona in 2004-2009.

“If he decides to leave then we will have to try to find another name for the club. We are lucky that at the moment we have the best player of all time,” he concluded.
