Sancho is unworthy of playing for the England national team

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Gabriel Agbonlahor, a former Aston Villa player, stated that Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho still doesn’t deserve a place in the current England squad.

Sancho has been in excellent form since the 2022/23 season started. The former Borussia Dortmund player is Erik Ten Hag’s mainstay in the wing sector of the Red Devils squad.

So far, Sancho has played in 8 games in all competitions. From these appearances, Sanco scored 3 goals.

Despite performing quite well with the Red Devils, Sancho was not called up to the England national team in this international break. Gareth Southgate prefered to call on Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling to his team.

Many questioned Southgate’s decision. However, Agbonlahor claims that the 22-year-old player doesn’t deserve a place in Team Three for now.

“I don’t think he deserves to be in it,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“Yes, his performances have improved but he still has a lot to do. I would probably have picked him before Bowen as I felt in the last month, he did more than Bowen did.”

Agbonlahor believes Sancho can still return to strengthen the England national team. As long as the player is able to show consistent performance with Manchester United.

“But Sancho has to start beating players more like he has done. That’s how he will get back into the squad.”

“If Man United continue to play like them, then Sancho will be 100% back in that squad.”
