By db-admin
DBasia.news – Midfielder, Bruno Fernandes scored two goals and one assist in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday (7/11/2020).
His two goals came in the 25th and 32nd minutes from a header and a pass that led to a goal, while his assist came in the 90 + 5’ to Edinson Cavani who scored his debut goal for the Red Devils.
His two goals and assists ensured Fernandes’ vital and important role for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, plus the status of an away champion. The Portuguese midfielder has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in his first 10 away games in the Premier League.
In addition, SkySports added that Fernandes has now scored his 100th goal in his career at club level, from Novara, Udinese, Sampdoria, Sporting Lisbon, to Man United.
“Bruno Fernandes has scored the 100th goal of his club career in all competitions (four goals with Novara, 11 goals with Udinese, five goals with Sampdoria, 63 goals with Sporting Lisbon, 17 goals with Man United). First 50 goals – 235 appearances. The last 50 goals – 88 appearances, “wrote a Sky Sports statement.
Very productive if you remember his position not as an attacker but as an attacking midfielder who controls the attack. Fernandes doesn’t even care if his second goal is given to Marcus Rashford who tried to gore the ball from his cross which lead to a goal.
“I don’t care if Marcus touches the ball and it could be the goal, it doesn’t matter to me, the most important thing for me as the number 10 (player) is to serve my team-mates,” Fernandes told BT Sport.
Regarding the match, Fernandes was satisfied with his team’s response after losing twice in a row against Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.
“It was a great ending to the game. We know what we have to do (today) and we did well,” added Fernandes.
“We made a few mistakes in the second half, maybe we were a little more confident and wanted to go forward and we didn’t have too much of the ball. After the first goal we had a great reaction and we did what we had to do.
“We know our quality. We are working hard for that match. It was difficult to recover after the game (against Basaksehir). This is a moment to do something in this match and we succeeded, “he concluded.
After the international break, MU will host West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford in the Premier League match, Saturday (21/11) at 22.00 WIB.
