DBasia.news – Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, two Arsenal players, were victims in a robbery attempt at two thieves riding motorbikes and carrying knives in London on Thursday (25/7) local time.
A CCTV video shows the car containing Ozil and Kolasinac who took action against the two thieves. The Bosnian left-back was not afraid of facing a thief who had held a knife.
Kolasinac even tried to chase the thief and hit him. The desperate action of Kolasinac was appreciated by Warganet who watched the video.
“Kolasinac was born in the Bosnian-Serbian war. Not surprising,” said @ mobydijk69. “Don’t mess with this guy. Inside and outside the playing field,” added @ bhavss14.
“Fair play to Kolasinac because he is not afraid of the thieves, but see how close he is to being stabbed. Thank God no one was hurt,” added @hctelfih.
Arsenal have responded to the incident and saw it as a personal problem that did not affect Ozil’s preseason training and Kolasinac. The two have also been questioned by the Met Police who came to Platts Lane, North London.
“Police were called to Platts Lane, NW3, before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th to report attempted theft,” said the Met Police statement.
“It was reported that a suspect on a motorcycle had tried to rob a man who was driving a car. The driver, along with his passengers, was able to get away unharmed and go to a restaurant on Golders Green, where they talked to police officers. There has been no arrest. The search continues.”
