Second Offer for Kalidou Koulibaly

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea were immediately active  in the 2022 summer transfer market. After Raheem Sterling approached, now the Blues have the opportunity to be able to find two central defenders.

As is known, two defenders left Chelsea this summer, namely Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger. No doubt that position is a priority for Thomas Tuchel’s team to strengthen. They have also pocketed two names.

The first name is Manchester City defender Nathan Ake, who has also played for Chelsea. Then for the second is Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly. Chelsea’s development with the two transfers went well.

Koulibaly (31 years old) who has been at Napoli since 2014 has personally agreed to Chelsea, but Napoli rejected the first offer of 35 million euros. Chelsea returned with an offer of 38 million euros plus bonuses (40 million euros total).

“Kalidou Koulibaly has accepted Chelsea as his next club after a new meeting with his agent yesterday in Milano. A personal agreement was agreed for 10 million euros net salary per year. He is waiting for the club to finalize the deal,” said transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“Chelsea are preparing a final, official offer for Kalidou Koulibaly, 38 million euros plus bonuses, increased to a 40 million euro package. Napoli can accept it, after an opening offer of 35 million euros was rejected,” added Romano.

As for Ake, Man City are open to selling him despite only releasing Sterling for 47.5 million pounds to the same club. The official price of the 27-year-old defender is allegedly in the range of 45 million pounds. From a personal agreement there is no problem.

Koulibaly and Ake are the two names who are close to Chelsea, but if there are problems then they have prepared two other alternatives, namely Jules Kounde (Sevilla) and Presnel Kimpembe (Paris Saint-Germain).
