DBasia.news – Barcelona appeared very badly when crushed by Liverpool at Anfield, the Champions League semi-final second leg (8/5) early morning Western Indonesian Time, with a landslide score of 0-4.
The 3-0 advantage in the first leg also seemed to be meaningless because the Reds successfully scored four goals, each pair of Georginio Wijnaldum and Divock Origi. Barca also lost on aggregate 4-3 goals.
After a few days of silence and reluctance to comment about the defeat experienced by his team, one by one the Barca players finally opened their voices. One of the names that has spoken to the public is Sergi Roberto. He even apologized to the Blaugrana fans.
“The last few days have been difficult times for Barcelona players. I want to apologize to the fans because the team was eliminated in the Champions League,” Sergi said as quoted by Sport English.
“We really want to be in the final more than any other team. Now is the right time to stay compact compared to before. I am very confident if my teammates will succeed in rising with the help of you all (fans). Thank you for continued support even though the team is in a difficult period. We will do everything we can to win the Copa del Rey, “he added.
Barcelona’s failure to reach the Champions League has caused the club to be rumored to be reforming the squad. Even the latest news says if there are 10 players who are certain to leave at the end of the season.
Ernesto Valverde’s foster children will play the final match at the Camp Nou in the 2018/19 season at home to Getafe in Week 37 of La Liga on Sunday (12/5).
