Sergio Busquets Doubted Continuation of Laliga Due to Corona Virus Pandemic

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Sergio Busquets was quite doubtful that LaLiga can be resumed. At the moment the competition is being suspended indefinitely due to the Corona virus pandemic.

LaLiga 2019/2020 was suspended as of March 12 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The suspension was originally scheduled for only two weeks, but the situation did not allow the status to change to an indefinite period.

It is not yet known when the competition can continue, while the dates targeted as a restart time so far are still limited to discourse. Spain itself is still struggling to reduce the Corona virus.

So far there are more than 180 thousand people infected in the matador country, with 19 thousand fatalities. Spain is the second most affected country in the world after the United States.

Seeing the current situation, Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is not sure the competition can continue. Because football is intimately connected with travel and invites large crowds.

Not to mention the fact that the COVID-19 vaccine has not yet been found.

“I think it will be difficult to continue the competition. I am sure the season can be finished,” Busquets said as quoted by Marca.

“At first I wanted to see how the situation developed and now it looks like we are reaching its peak. I am waiting for some good news.”

“I think it will be difficult to continue the competition because it is related to the journey that must be done, how to gather people. That will be a problem,” he added.
