Sergio Ramos Wants to Stay Longer at PSG

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Sergio Ramos has not been able to show his best performance since moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), last summer. But he confirmed his determination to stay longer at the Parc des Princes.

Throughout this season, Ramos has only made seven appearances for PSG in all competitions. A series of injuries made him spend more time in the treatment room.

This condition gave rise to rumors that PSG intended to release Ramos at the end of the season. Even though the former Real Madrid player is still under contract until next year.

Ramos responded to the rumors wisely. He is determined to start being a mainstay in PSG’s back line and get a contract extension.

“I have a two-year contract at PSG. We’ll try to turn it into three years and then we’ll see,” Ramos told Amazon Prime.

“As long as I’m physically fit, I think I can keep my mind focused. I want to play between four and five more years at the top level and then have another experience.”

Despite starting to be prone to injury, Ramos’ quality as a formidable central defender does not need to be doubted. PSG just need to be patient to wait for the player to return to peak performance.

Ramos’ determination to stay at PSG is not without reason. He was worried that it would be difficult to find other big teams who would use his services.

“I’d rather play in the best team in the world than be the best player. At the end of the day football is a collective sport and it’s about winning as a team.”

“Before becoming the best in the world, I preferred to play in world championships and the Champions League. And to do that, you always need teamwork.”
