DBasia.news – A mini revolution begins at Juventus ahead of the new season (2021-2022). After going through the 2020-2021 season with disappointment, management began to make changes. For example, the departure of the influential Fabio Paratici.
Fabio Paratici is the Juventus Sports Director who has worked for 11 years. His contract expires on June 30, 2021 and is not renewed. During that time Juventus won 19 trophies.
“These were beautiful years of professional growth and strong emotions. Juventus gave me the opportunity to carry out my work with complete freedom and without interference in respecting my role,” said Paratici, quoted by Athletic.
“For this I want to thank the entire club, my staff, employees, colleagues, players, coaches, shareholders and in particular, the President, Andrea Agnelli. An important chapter in my career is closing, as I await new challenges.”
Paratici’s departure was confirmed by Juventus supremo, Andrea Agnelli. While thanking him for his work, Agnelli also considered that Paratici’s name will be in Juventus history forever.
“Fabio has written Juventus history in recent years. A journey marked by professionalism, self-sacrifice and a lot of success,” added Agnelli.
“19 trophies in 11 years are the best testimony to his work, which is part of the long tradition of our club. Today is the perfect time to thank him for being able to create such a strong professional bond, accompanied by everyday passion.”
What’s Next for Juventus?
19 trophies in 11 years. Paratici is one of the mastermind or geniuses who worked behind the scenes in the golden era of Juventus. He was once the trusted right hand man of the former Juventus CEO, Giuseppe Marotta (who is currently at Inter Milan).
One of the ‘works’ from the collaboration between the two is to land the Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in 2018. Ronaldo is a soccer superstar with five Ballon d’Or wins.
Since bringing in Ronaldo Juventus began to experience a decline after sacking Massimiliano Allegri. As a result Paratici did not renew his contract and Allegri is rumored to be returning to Turin to replace Andrea Pirlo.
