DBasia.news – Manchester United’s shooting midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, was allowed to leave by Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi. However, the Milinkovic-Savic may leave if there is a club that supports the official price.
The Red Devils reportedly prepared 75 million euros, plus a bonus, to be given to Lazio in order to bring Milinkovic-Savic to Old Trafford. The Serbian midfielder was plotted as a replacement for Paul Pogba if he left Real Madrid.
Milinkovic-Savic has strengthened Lazio from 2015. His development has been rapid in the last four years. Nevertheless, Inzaghi did not hold back his departure if Man United offered the right price.
“I want him (Milinkovic-Savic) to stay, but I think the club, if there are important offers coming, then you are right to consider it. With the right sales from Milinkovic we know the players who will be chosen to replace him,” said Inzaghi at Calciomercato.
“He made a sensational escape, I like to have it here, I hope he stays but we are ready for any situation (which can happen).”
“He will play twice today, if he does not stay with us then we must look for the match to strengthen the physique that can guarantee the physical and technique,” Inzaghi explained.
Milinkovic-Savic can play in many positions in midfield. In addition to the central midfielder in dividing defense and offensive roles, Milinkovic-Savic can also be a defensive and attacking midfielder.
Lazio have recruited quite a number of players this summer, namely: Manuel Lazzari, Denis Vavro, Pedro Neto, Bruno Jordao, Jony, Sofian Kiyine, Andreas Karo, and Bobby Adek.
If SMS becomes an alternative target when Pogba leaves, that means the player’s transfer depends on the French midfielder. Nevertheless, United can also recruit him without having to wait for Pogba as currently there is one slot in the midfield left by Ander Herrera.
