Solskjaer Asks for Five New Players to Strengthen Manchester United
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has reportedly asked the management for five new players. Solskjaer assessed that the current player material is not enough to compete for the title.
Manchester United visited Crystal Palace headquarters in the match week 27 of the 2020-2021 Premier League, at Selhurst Park Stadium, Thursday (4/3) am, WIB. The Red Devils only won one point as the score was 0-0.
These results made it even more difficult for Manchester United to catch up with Manchester City who are at the top of the standings. Currently, the two teams are 14 points apart.
Inevitably, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a revolution for next season. The manager has asked the management for five new players.
OkDiario reports, Erling Haaland is on the list of players that Solskjaer wants. The Borussia Dortmund attacker is considered the answer from Man United’s front lines who found it difficult to score goals.
Haaland’s appearance is indeed on the rise. He scored 43 goals in just 45 matches. Not surprisingly, Dortmund priced the Norwegian player at 100 million euros.
The next player being considered by Manchester United is Raphael Varane. The Real Madrid defender was groomed as Harry Maguire’s duet partner.
Apart from Varane, Manchester United are also looking for other defenders. Reportedly, Seville’s latch, Jules Kounde, was on the radar.
Solskjaer says Man United is broke
Previously, Solskjaer had reported that Manchester United could not do anything in the transfer market. The corona virus pandemic has made the Red Devils’ income drop dramatically.
To solve this problem, Solskjaer plans to launch a number of academy players into the first team. The plan is in accordance with Man United’s desire to build a team using young players.
