Son Heung Min Isn’t Satisfied By South Korea’s Round of 16 Qualification

DBasia.news – The South Korea national team passed the round of 16 in 2018 Asian Games after the 1-0 winning against Kyrgyzstan on the final round of Group E, Monday (20/8). However, Son Heung-min still feels not satisfied with South Korea’s performance.

Came as the defending champion, South Korea surprisingly have to play the last match to ensure the group phase qualification. It was triggered by the 1-2 defeat from Malaysia on the second match.

The situation made South Korea sent their best players in the decisive match against Kyrgyzstan. The South Korean star playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Son Heung-min, played since the very first minute.

 

The result wasn’t disappointing. Son Heung-min became the hero of South Korea in the match against Kyrgyzstan. The 26-year-old striker scored the decisive goal at 63′.

However, Son Heung-min didn’t feel satisfied with South Korea’s success to pass the round of 16 in the 2018 Asian Games. Son Heung-min also gave comment about Kyrgyzstan’s total defense strategy.

“Kyrgyzstan just prioritizing the counter-attack with defending focus. We know their strategy, but it’s still hard to gain the victory in the important match,” Son Heung-min told Yonhap News.

“This isn’t a satisfying performance, but we’re glad they to get it. South Korea gave the best, it has to be like that,” Son Heung-min continued.
