DBasia.news – As AFF Cup defending champion, Thailand national team are favored to be the winner in the match against Timor Leste in the first Group B match of 2018 AFF Cup (9/11). The match will be conducted at Rajamangala, Bangkok, and Thailand coach Milovan Rajevac won’t underestimate Timor Leste.
For Thailand, this should be the away match. But it feels like the home match considering Timor Leste choose Rajamangala Stadium because their stadium is inadequate.
“We know that Timor-Leste have some issues with their own stadium and ground, so we have to say thank you for them to choose Bangkok as their home game,” Milovan Rajevac said in the press conference at Rajamangala Stadium.
“We respect them and we will play with our best team tomorrow and hope we can get a good result,” he added.
Hence, the Thailand national team will focus to achieve the victory against Timor Leste and then thinking about other teams.
“We will see each match. Our goal is to achieve the first three points as a good start for the team.”
Meanwhile, Thailand national team captain, Chalermpong Kerokaew, declared that they are ready to play in the 2018 AFF Cup, with Timor Leste as the first opponent.
“We have been preparing. There will be two matches against great teams. Now, the players are ready to compete,” he explained.
