DBasia.news –  Two Arsenal players, Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, were victims of a robbery in London. Both are still traumatized and Unai Emery, Arsenal manager, did not play them when Arsenal lost 1-2 to Olympique Lyonnais at the Emirates Cup on Sunday (28/7).

As is known, Kolasinac and Ozil were victims of armed robbery in London. Ozil and his wife managed to get away from two thieves riding a motorcycle, while Kolasinac protected them when fighting a thief armed with the knife.

Luckily, there were no injuries from the incident. Nevertheless, both Ozil and Kolasinac still remember the incident. Based on that consideration, Emery chose to give the two players time to relax and forget about the trauma.

“This morning they (Ozil and Kolasinac) came here, but they are not ready to play. Every player is very important for the team, but also at each moment and some situations has given us a decision between the players and us,” Emery said as reported by BBC Sport.

“This is not a good moment to play as their thoughts are not 100 percent now. The situation is very personal and the most important thing now is that they feel fine, feel safe, calm with their families.”

“I have talked to them and decided that it is best for them to continue to rest with their families, and wait a few days for, hopefully, to be able to resume normally with the team. Tomorrow we will check their condition again,” explained Emery.

Unfortunately, Arsenal lost 1-2 to Lyon in front of their own supporters through two goals scored by Moussa Dembele (66 ‘and 75’), who countered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal in the 35th minute.
