Strengthening Besiktas with a loan status, Miralem Pjanic quips Koeman

DBasia.news – Bosnian Hezergovina midfielder Miralem Pjanic has finally found his new port after leaving Barcelona. Although only on loan, the club in question is Besiktas.
The 31-year-old player failed to return to his former club, Juventus by the deadline of this summer’s transfer window, although he has found a club that guarantees more playing time than Barcelona.
Since coming to Camp Nou last summer, Ronald Koeman has rarely played Pjanic because of his performances and not to mention because he is often injured. Besiktas also came to borrow him with a dowry of 2.7 million euros.
After heading to Besiktas, Pjanic immediately spoke about his time to defend Barca. He did not blame Barca for rarely playing but his Dutch coach, Ronald Koeman.
“The coach (Koeman), yes. I couldn’t get used to the situation I was in last year. I knew I didn’t want it. I’m a player. I love playing football, this is what makes me happy,” Pjanic told Marca.
“I’ve always wanted to play for Barca but I didn’t expect the situation to be so complicated.
“There was a point where I played less, things got complicated. And when I play it’s physically and mentally challenging to be good, because it kills my confidence, because I don’t have communication with (Koeman).”
“It was very strange, because a coach is the one who says who plays and who doesn’t, but there are different ways of doing things.”
“I’m a player who can accept everything but I always like to be told things in person. It’s not as if nothing happened and I’m 15 years old.”
However, it did not occur to him to regret joining Barcelona. Because Pjanic believes he has tried hard to appear regularly at Barcelona.
“No, never (regret joining Barcelona). In life things that has to happen, happen. It’s like that. I’ve struggled all my life and my career, I’m very ambitious, very competitive, I’ve reached the level of Juventus and Barca,” Pjanic added.
“I knew that I could play for this team, they didn’t give me the opportunity to compete, join the group, to help more.”
