Substitute for Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich Reveals His Preparation Before the Game
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Sven Ulreich has had a rare opportunity by filling in the Bayern Munich goalkeeper post in recent matches. That’s because the Bavarian number one goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, had to miss four months due to suffering a knee injury.
Now, it is confirmed that Sven Ulreich will again be coach Julian Nagelsmann’s choice of goalkeeper in the continued Bundesliga match against the host of VfL Bochum, Saturday (12/02) night WIB.
Ahead of the match, he admitted that he would prepare himself better to give maximum performances in goal.
The match against Bochum will be his 3rd appearance for Bayern Munich this season.
“It’s great that I played a few weeks ago. I’m ready for the anti-match. When you know you are going to play at the weekend, you have a different focus on the game,” Ulreich told FCBayern.com.
“You prepare differently, you also have to analyze the opponent, especially with Toni Tapalovic. This is different when you will sit on the bench. You are always present at team meetings, of course, but when you play you have to be more detailed during the preparation.”
Before the match against RB Leipzig, Ulreich was rumored to have contracted COVID-19. However, after carrying out a series of tests, the 33-year-old goalkeeper also tested negative and was allowed to compete.
