Successfully Beat Juventus, This Is What the Sassuolo Coach Says
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi is happy with his team’s win against Juventus. But he asked his team to forget the victory immediately.
Sassuolo successfully defeated Juventus at the Allianz Stadium with a score of 2-1, Wednesday (27/10). The Neroverdi managed to take the lead through Davide Frattesi’s kick in the first half. The home side equalized with a header from Weston McKennie in the second half.
But the Bianconeri again conceded a goal through a quick counter-attack which was well done by Maxime Lopez, when the game entered extra time.
With that win, Sassuolo made history, for the first time they won at home to the Old Lady.
The concocting interpreter Alessio Dionisi said he was happy with the victory. However, he reminded his team not to get too carried away, by forgetting the historic victory and focusing on the next match, hosting Empoli on Sunday (31/10).
“It’s always nice to win like this, even more,” Dionisi said after the match, reported by DAZN. “But we have to quickly forget about it because on Sunday, we have a difficult game.”
“We played a very good first half and very good second half to stay in the game.
“In the beginning, we were under pressure from Juventus, then we reacted bravely. We defended deeper in the second half, but we remained compact,” he added.
The former Empoli allenatore initially did not expect too much to win the match. But the victory, he said, indicated that his team had progressed.
“Perhaps, today’s result was beyond our capabilities, but we have reaped the rewards of previous performances,” said the 41-year-old coach.
