Summer 2020 Transfer Exchange Activities So far

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The European summer transfer market is still ongoing until October 5. Almost all clubs are competing to sign their targeted players.

Even so, not all clubs can take full advantage of the transfer market this time. The financial strength of the majority of clubs is disrupted by the effects of the corona virus pandemic.

This can be seen from the movements of the two Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The two clubs who are fond of bringing in stars still appeared cool and calm.

Barcelona had just brought in Miralem Pjanic at around 60 million euros. They also included Arthur Melo in this transfer.

Apart from Pjanic, Barcelona also received additional strength in Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian national player had just returned from a loan spell at Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Madrid have not signed a single star in the transfer market this time. Los Blancos are more busy releasing players such as Achraf Hakimi (Inter Milan), Dani Ceballos (Arsenal), and Brahim Diaz (AC Milan).

Apart from the three players, Madrid also tried to sell James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale. Both of them are not included in Zinedine Zidane’s plan.

Things are not much different in Italy. Juventus, who ha the status of the king of Serie A, seemed passive in the transfer market.

So far, the Bianconeri have only officiated the arrival of Arthur Melo and Weston McKennie for a relatively small fee. They are less active than Inter Milan and Napoli who are willing to spend large amounts to bring in Achraf Hakimi and Victor Osimhen.

Inter brought Hakimi from Madrid at around 40 million euros. While Napoli are willing to break the club transfer record to bring Osimhen from Lille at 60 million euros.

Different things happened in the Premier League. The effects of the corona virus pandemic did not seem to have affected the finances of the British clubs too significantly.

Chelsea is the most active by bringing in five star category players. The five are Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell.

Chelsea spent a total of more than 200 million pounds to obtain the five players. Kai Havertz is the most expensive at around 72 million pounds.

Apart from Chelsea, other members of the Big Six have also brought in at least one new player. This will certainly make the competition in the 2020-2021 season even more fierce.
