Teddy Sheringham Asks Manchester United to Sell Cristiano Ronaldo

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United legend, Teddy Sheringham has suggested his former club, Manchester United to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in order to bring in new players again in the transfer market this summer.

It is common knowledge that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United. He has asked United to let him go if there is a suitable offer.

The Portuguese star wants to continue playing in the Champions League. While the Red Devils only appear in the Europa League next season.

So far, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been linked with Ronaldo. However, manager Erik Ten Hag insists that Ronaldo will not be sold.

Sheringham thinks Manchester United should sell Ronaldo as by selling Ronaldo they can get two or three other players.

“People say Ten Hag will build his team around Ronaldo, but if he wants to leave, let him go. It opens a new corridor for United,” Sheringham told Sportsmail.

“You can get two or three players for that kind of money and that’s a lot they can spend every month.”

Ronaldo’s departure may be a big loss for Manchester United. However, Sheringham actually saw it would benefit all parties.

“Life goes on, he wants to go and play somewhere else, so get players you know who will be strong and stable throughout the season.”

“If you stand still in football, you fall and maybe Ronaldo sees the same. Where did that big signing come from?

“Ronaldo probably has one or two more years at the top level and he deserves to enjoy his football at the top of his game.”
