Thanks to Mikel Arteta, the former Chelsea midfielder believes Arsenal will win the Premier League in 2022

DBasia.news – Former Chelsea midfielder, Willian Borges believes Arsenal will win the Premier League in 2022 because of Mikel Arteta. Arsenal are said to be heading for a new era under the guidance of former player, Mikel Arteta.

Since being handled by Mikel Arteta Arsenal have shown positive developments. Slowly the Gunners ve started to play consistently and is able to match the top Premier League clubs like in the past.

The 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford is proof that Arsenal have grown. Although in the process there are still a number of minor results that Arteta is already on the right path to return Arsenal to the top of the standings.

“Arsenal has a great coach and a great opportunity to fight for the title,” Willian told the Daily Mail. “We can win the league. Maybe not this time but the next (2021-2022) season. I am motivated to be more successful.”

The victory against United was a turning point for Arsenal after losing to Manchester City and Leicester City. Willian saw his squad develop with a combination of young and senior players.

“It was a big win at United and it was important for me to be part of it because I knew I had to impose my qualities on the team. The win was a big step,” added Willian.

“This squad is good, with great young talents but they also need experienced players who have won a lot. It is not easy or quick to change the mentality but we are on the way.”

“Clubs that want to fight for the title cannot drop points like that (against Leicester) when they are dominant. We need to win that game but we are on our way. I know we did. The following week we beat United. That tells you a lot,” explained Willian.

Arsenal are currently in ninth place in the Premier League standings. In the next match before the international break Arsenal will host Aston Villa in the continued Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium, Monday (09/11) at 02.15 WIB.
