The 2021 Copa America schedule starting from the group phase to the final
By db-admin
DBasia.news – After a period of uncertainty, the 2021 Copa America finally started as scheduled. Brazil will host the tournament from June 14 to July 11.
The 2021 Copa America was almost canceled after CONMEBOL revoked the rights of hosts for Argentina and Colombia. The increasing cases of the corona virus and political conflicts were the reasons for the decision.
The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) then appointed Brazil as the substitute host. This decision was made less than a month from the scheduled kick off.
But the polemic did not end there. The Brazilian national team players had planned to boycott the 2021 Copa America because of the high number of positive cases of the corona virus in their country.
However, the decision was not made. The Brazilian national team has confirmed that they will appear in the 2021 Copa America although they still criticize CONMEBOL’s decision.
Brazil is certainly the main candidate to lift the trophy at the end of the competition. In addition to being the host, Selecao are also the defending champions.
The 2021 Copa America will be participated by ten countries under the auspices of CONMEBOL. Whereas usually there are two invited teams from different confederations.
Homeland football lovers can watch all the 2021 Copa America matches on the television station, Indosiar. As for streaming services, people can watch it through the Vidio.com channel.
