By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Norwich City surprisingly defeated Tottenham Hotspurs in the FA Cup fifth round match on Thursday (05/03) AM on penalties. Upon entering the penalty shootout, Norwich City goalkeeper, Tim Kru,l was seen carrying a piece of paper which contained information in which direction Jose Mourinho’s team would kick.

Krul’s team became the hero of Norwich’s victory when they defeated Tottenham Hotspurs in the fifth round of the FA Cup earlier this morning. The match ended 1-1 at normal time until the end of extra time. The match then continued to the penalty shootout where Krul saved two penalties from Troy Parrott and Gedson.

But the most unique moment of course was when the Dutch player was seen holding a drink bottle that reads the list of Tottenham players along with the direction they usually kicked.

Krul commented that as a goalkeeper, from a young age he really wanted to save penalties and bring his club forward to the next round.

“When this happens, I have to realize this is my job. As a child I really wanted to save a penalty and take my club forward to the next round. I could almost save the first kick, but my goalkeeping coach and I have recorded it. It’s is in my bottle.

I think I’m not fixated on this note. Because when on the field, adrenaline and nervousness of the player can be one factor for him to kick instead of the position he usually kicks. ” Krul said as quoted by Mirror.

Krul’s team was known for their heroic actions at the 2014 World Cup. At that time he entered at the end of the extra round only to save a penalty against Costa Rica.
