The European Super League Is Not Arsenal’s Level

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The former Arsenal player, Ian Wright, made a pretty sharp statement for his former club. According to Wright, the Gunners do not deserve to be in the European Super League.

Arsenal joined 11 other teams to establish the European Super League. The competition was initiated by Europe’s top clubs with the aim of saving football. In addition, there will be more money pouring into the pockets of the clubs.

Inevitably, UEFA firmly rejects the European Super League. UEFA is working out a strategy to cancel the European Super League. In fact, a number of tough sanctions began to emerge.

Although the current conflict is between UEFA and the founders of the European Super League, many have highlighted the basis for selecting the club that will appear. An example is Arsenal who are deemed unfit to be in the European Super League.

In recent years, Arsenal’s best run has been winning the FA Cup. Meanwhile, in the Premier League, the Gunners have had difficulty penetrating the European zone.

Inevitably, Ian Wright considered Arsenal to be shameless because they were still participating in the European Super League. According to Wright, there are teams who deserve more than Arsenal.

“So far we have slumped? We are currently going into the competition because we are not good enough to be in it. This is detrimental to English football because we take a place that we do not deserve,” explained Wright as reported by the Daily Mail.

Ian Wright Strongly Refuses

Ian Wright assessed that the European Super League will not have the tension of other competitions. Moreover, the 12 founding clubs will not be relegated.

“There is no competition in things like this. I have not seen how this will work. I totally disagree with this,” said Wright.

“There is no risk. Who will be relegated? Who will win? What are they winning? Are we supposed to see these great teams play every week?”
