The Fate of Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga at Manchester United Depends on Marcus Rashford’s Condition

DBasia.news – Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that the club could have loaned out Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga to add minutes to play. But it depends on Marcus Rashford’s health situation.
United could let Amad leave on loan before the transfer window closes as the Red Devils are considering their attacking options next season.
The 19-year-old forward is currently battling at the Tokyo Olympics with Ivory Coast, who have qualified for the quarter-finals.
Amad, who joined from Atalanta last January, may be allowed to get regular playing time elsewhere depending on the situation of Rashford, who will have surgery on his shoulder that will keep him out for at least two months.
“We use every player, we think about the best path for the club and every player, what is best for this season and what is best for the future,” said Solskjaer.
“Amad is struggling in the Olympics. We will sit down together and see the decision later,” explained the Norwegian manager.
Another name in the spotlight is Elanga who scored two goals in United’s last two pre-season games. Solskjaer also said the player’s future was determined by Rashford’s circumstances.
“Of course. Elanga, the decision about him is very big. We will make a decision about Amad and Elanga. Elanga gave me a big problem. A player who scores goals, who has that kind of enthusiasm,” he explained.
“We wanted to play a pressing game. If you asked him at half-time to run to the cricket pitch and get us a drink, he would. He’s that type of kid.”
