The pressure of Real Madrid Supporters Is Not a Problem for Thibaut Courtois

DBasia.news –  Thibaut Courtois acknowledged the amount of pressure from Real Madrid supporters at the start of his career at the Santiago Bernabeu. Even so, Courtois doesn’t have a problem with that pressure and makes it a motivation to look better.

Thibaut Courtois joined Real Madrid from Chelsea at the start of this season. In his debut season, Courtois’s appearance under the crossbar was not optimal. Courtois blundered several times.

Towards the end of the season, Courtois admitted that he was used to the pressure given to supporters. Courtois wants to close the season with a win against Real Betis.

“It would be good to give supporters one last pleasure. Go on vacation with a win and finish the year well to prepare for the next season,” Courtois said in a joint interview with Codere.

“We trained with much enthusiasm because we knew this was not the best season. However, we continued to improve, train very hard and hope to close the season sweetly,” said the goalkeeper.

“When I was in the goal, I saw the Bernabeu very beautiful. It gave a lot of adrenaline and a desire to perform well. Even though it also means pressure, I like it.”

Courtois apologized to supporters because Real Madrid failed miserably this season. The keeper promised, El Real will try hard to win the title next season.

“To the supporters, I ask to continue to provide support to us. We know this is not a good year, but in the following season we will try again,” Courtois said.
