The Summer Transfer Market is Closed, Chelsea is the Most Wasteful Club

DBasia.news – The activity of the 2020 summer transfer market has been closed. Chelsea is the Premier League’s most wasteful club in bringing in new players.
Sky Sports noted, Premier League clubs has spent 1.24 billion pounds with a total of 107 players recruited permanently. The amount is 160 million pounds less than last year.
Chelsea were the most wasteful club with Kai Havertz being the most expensive purchase with 75.8 million pounds. Chelsea spent 226.1 million pounds (around Rp. 4.3 trillion). The Blues defeated second-placed, Manchester City with 147 million pounds.
Interestingly, the title of the third most wasteful club belongs to Aston Villa. The club that slaughtered Liverpool 7-2 spent 85 million pounds on players. Villa followed by Leeds United (84.5 million pounds), and Wolves (83.6 million pounds).
Next there are Liverpool (81.7 million pounds), Arsenal (81.5 million pounds), Everton (65 million pounds), Tottenham Hotspur (62 million pounds), and Manchester United (54.4 million pounds).
Meanwhile, on the sales side, Wolves is the club that has made the most money from releasing players. A total of 76 million pounds (Rp1, 4 trillion) was obtained by Wolves.
Manchester City became the second team with the most income from selling players, namely 70.5 million pounds. Following Leicester with 51.7 million pounds in third position.
Chelsea themselves have only made 13.5 million pounds from selling players this summer.
