The U-23 South Korea Put 4 2018 World Cup to Asian Games

DBasia.news – South Korea National Team announced the squad that will perform in the 2018 Asian Games. From 20 players, four of them were playing in the 2018 World Cup, including Son Heung-min.

South Korea played less satisfying during the 2018 World Cup. Taeguk Warriors squad left early during the group phase though won 2-0 from Germany.

The situation made South Korea has the ambition to score better achievement during the Asian Games 2018. They bring all the best players to the event, including Son Heung-min.

Son Heung-min was being one of three candidates with age over 23 years. However, coach Kim Hak-bum had no idea when will the Tottenham Hotspur joined.

“Son will definitely play, but we don’t know when he will join the team,” said Kim Hak-bum during the press conference in Seoul (16/7).

“Son Heung-min is an essential player to us. We hope he can join the team as soon as possible because adjusting to hot weather in Indonesia isn’t easy,” he continued.

At the same time, Kim Hak-bum said, Son Heung-min has got the permission from Tottenham Hotspur. No wonder, the Asian Games 2018 isn’t included in FIFA calendar so The Lilywhites has the right to refuse.

Besides Son Heung-min, three other players performed in the 2018 World Cup also stayed in the list. They are Jo Hyeon-woo, Lee Seung-woo, and Hwang Hee-chan.

During the Asian Games 2018, South Korea will be in the Group E. Son Heung-min and friends will meet Kyrgyzstan, Bahrain, and Malaysia.
