Theo Hernandez Calls Pioli More Impactful Than Zidane and Simeone for His Career

DBasia.news – AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez has praised Stefano Pioli’s role in his career development. According to him, Pioli has more impact than the two previous coaches, Zinedine Zidane and Diego Simeone.
Theo Hernandez looks more mature at AC Milan. After joining in the summer of 2019 for a fee of 21.5 million euros, Theo Hernandez’s appearance continues to improve.
Now, he is one of the best left-backs in Europe. Not surprisingly, the call to strengthen the French national team came.
The 24-year-old defender said that what he has achieved today cannot be separated from Pioli’s cold hands. He feels Pioli has made him more developed than his coach at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, and the tactician at Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone.
“I’ve been coached by many good coaches. However, I think one of the ones that changed my life as a footballer and personally is Pioli,” said Theo Hernandez as reported by The Athletic.
“Pioli, from the first time I arrived, gave me the confidence I needed to get more. From there, I played my way. I am very happy here thanks to him,” explained the defender.
Theo Hernandez assessed that Pioli’s decision to let him play more freely had a positive impact. That way, he becomes more flexible in assisting the attack.
“I feel freer when I push into the middle where there is more space. At Real Madrid, I lacked the confidence to go wide and move forward. But at Milan, I got it.”
“I can connect with attackers. What do I like? Attacking and getting up on the pitch. I appear with more freedom to score goals and make more assists,” explained Hernandez.
Theo Hernandez is predicted to be Milan’s mainstay when they host Juventus this weekend (24/1). After that, the Rossoneri will face another no less tough match, namely against Inter Milan.
