DBasia.news – There are no more Real Madrid players remaining at Euro 2020 following the elimination of Belgium. Of the eight players who made it to Euro 2020, none made it to the semifinals.

Belgium were stopped in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 after being defeated by Italy. Competing at the Allianz Arena, Munich, Saturday (3/7/2021) am, WIB, the Red Devils lost 1-2 to Italy.

The defeat ended the journey of the last two Real Madrid players who were still standing at Euro 2020, Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard. Previously, most of Madrid’s players who appeared at Euro 2020 were eliminated in the 16th round.

France’s defeat at the hands of Switzerland in the 16th round could be the biggest surprise at Euro 2020. Les Bleus had to admit Switzerland’s advantage on penalties after a 3-3 draw until extra time.

France’s exit has made Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane return home earlier from the Euro 2020.

Madrid’s new player, David Alaba, was eliminated by Austria who had to admit Italy’s advantage through extra time. The defeat in extra time was also experienced by Luka Modric with the Croatian national team against Spain.

Toni Kroos with the German national team fell at the hands of England in a match at Wembley Stadium. Meanwhile, Gareth Bale was unable to do much when Wales were defeated by Denmark in the 16th round.

However, those defeats allowed them to get off early before starting the new season. Madrid’s players appearing in international tournaments this summer are expected to be given 20-25 days off.

Real Madrid will start pre-season training on July 5 with new coach Carlo Ancelotti.
