DBasia.news – The ban on player transfer given by FIFA to Chelsea changed the club’s transfer policy. Disclosed by Andreas Christensen, the Blues central defender, the club banned his players from leaving next summer.
As is known, Chelsea has gotten sanctions from FIFA related to violations of the rules for purchasing underage players. Chelsea is prohibited from registering new players in the next two transfer markets and their appeal is rejected.
Apart from Christian Pulisic whose transfer was completed last January from Borussia Dortmund, there are no new Chelsea players who will be coming – except for the loan players who return to Stamford Bridge.
The rules of Chelsea apply to all players, including Eden Hazard, whose is rumoured to leave to Real Madrid.
“My current situation (at Chelsea) is very difficult to accept. The message we received is that Chelsea cannot appeal the case (sanctions from FIFA) and therefore we want to keep all players,” Christensen said, quoted from Goal.
In addition to revealing the fact of Chelsea’s desire not to let go of their players, the 22-year-old Danish defender also hopes that Chelsea will advance further in the Europa League so that he will be played more and more by Maurizio Sarri.
“I have tried to show my abilities in training sessions, but this is challenging because of the limits on how much we train with all the matches we play,” added Christensen.
“Now, I have played in Europa League matches and hope it continues as long as we play in the tournament,” he hoped.
This season, Christensen has only appeared 19 times with Chelsea. Compared to last season with Antonio Conte, Christensen rarely played this season as Sarri preferred the duo to Chelsea defender occupied by Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz.
