This is what Harry Kane said about the England national team’s poor performance

DBasia.news – England striker Harry Kane has opened up about the Three Lions’ poor performance in the UEFA Nations League. Kane stressed that the results achieved so far will not be the same as what happened at the 2022 World Cup.
England suffered a humiliating four-goal defeat without reply when they hosted Hungary in the UEFA Nations League group stage match. With that result, England are at the bottom of the standings after never winning.
England only picked up two points armed with a draw against Germany and Italy. Meanwhile, when they challenged Hungary twice, Gareth Southgate’s players always lost.
“I understand the frustration of the fans. We want to win every time with England,” Kane explained as quoted by Sky Sports.
“Supporters must realize that. We must continue to work hard to carry out a successful World Cup,” he continued.
Despite losing, Kane was not too worried. He believes that England are on the right track to be at the Qatar World Cup later this year.
“This is our first major defeat in a long time. It has been for the last years that defense has been the reason for our success.”
“We have to be ready for the World Cup. That’s the most important thing. We learned a lot from this international training camp,” said the captain.
Opta noted, the 4-0 defeat at home was the worst since 94 years back for English football. The last time the Three Lions lost at home by four or more goals was in 1928 after losing to Scotland 1-5.
