This Is Why Hakimi Left Real Madrid and Joined Dortmund

DBasia.news – Achraf Hakimi revealed his reason to choose Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid. He thinks Dortmund are the team who often sends the young player to the pitch.

Madrid decided to loan Achraf at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season to get more playing minutes. Despite the interest from many clubs, the Morocco international player chose to join Dortmund.

He believed Dortmund are one of the clubs that would give the opportunity to the young players. Statistically, Lucien Favre’s squad have 8 young players below 20.

“I received several offers and Dortmund was undoubtedly the one which convinced me the most,” said the 19-year-old player quoted by Marca.

“Borussia Dortmund are a team with attractive football and they try to make young players better, making the most out of players. That last part is one of the reasons which influenced me the most,” he concluded.

Since wearing the Dortmund jersey, Achraf always entered the squad for every match, but he just played once from 5 recent matches of Bundesliga, in the match between Dortmund against FC Nuremberg with a 7-0 score. He played full time for 90 minutes and scored one goal.
