Three Arsenal players will be offered new contracts

DBasia.news – After the defeat became Arsenal’s only defeat against Manchester United, the Gunners managed to maintain their position in the Europa League and especially in the Premier League.
Eight games have passed in the Premier League, Martin Odegaard and his team are top of the table with 21 points, one point adrift of reigning champions Manchester City in second place and unbeaten.
Mikel Arteta’s hard work and patience in building the squad and instilling a philosophy began to show at Arsenal. He has the team he wants, ranging from academy products, talented youth, to new signings in the player transfer market.
The impact of the good performance displayed by Arsenal resulted in gifts from the club to three of their players, namely Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and William Saliba. His third contract expires in 2024 and has an option to extend at the end of the contract.
Although their contracts are still relatively extensive, Arsenal still want to show confidence in them and give them a new contract as a gift. This was confirmed by Mikel Arteta.
“Well, obviously we have to plan for the future and we are all working on it,” said Mikel Arteta as quoted by Standard Sports.
“Obviously Edu is above him and all the directors. We will try to do things the right way, be fair and try to plan the best way and reward the players who, in our opinion, have a great future for the club. When we have something to announce, we’ll do it.”
“I don’t know, I think every player is different and what happened in the past for sure the people in charge had the right reasons, or tried something that was beneficial for the club.”
“We will try to do the same and make sure the club is always protected, the club is always in a good position to move forward and the players are happy to be at the club.”
