Tony Adams Says Arsenal is a Bigger Team Than Juventus

Arsenal
DBasia.news – Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal midfielder, will leave the club he has been defending for 11 years at the end of this season. Ramsey will join Juventus on a free transfer.
During his 11 years of strengthening Arsenal, Ramsey was loaned to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City. During that time, the Wales midfielder won three FA Cup titles and two Community Shield trophies.
Ramsey’s free loss was seen as a big loss for Arsenal. Besides being in the golden age of a European footballer, 28 years old, Ramsey also has quality and playing experience that makes him one of Europe’s top players in that position.
Tony Adams, legend and former Arsenal captain in the 1983-2002 period, deeply regretted Ramsey’s free departure to Turin. In addition to questioning Arsenal’s decision to let him go without selling him, Adams also quipped Juventus.
According to Adams, Juventus in its era is not a bigger club than Arsenal. In fact in the past, players from Juventus chose to go to Arsenal, not the opposite as it is today.
“It’s a different game and a different club from the team I left in 2002. We won (the trophy) and Juventus players will come join us,” Tony Adams told Sky Sports.
“Aaron Ramsey is too good to let go. Why do you also go to Juventus? They are a smaller team than Arsenal – that’s the feeling I always feel about Arsenal. Other people think differently, maybe he thinks Cardiff (City) is bigger,” he explained.
Ramsey has packed 58 caps and scored 14 goals with the Wales national team. Later at Juventus, Ramsey will compete with Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Sami Khedira and Emre Can to take a place in midfield.
