Tottenham criticized by fans after releasing a new away jersey

DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur released their away jersey for next season. Some fans of The Lilywhites criticized the jersey’s motif.

Tottenham announced their new away jersey on Thursday (22/7/2021). The away jersey of Son Heung-min and his team mates has a blue base color with a unique colorful motif.

This Nike jersey is made of 100% recycled polyester fabric. Tottenham set a price of 70 pounds (Rp 1.4 million) for the adult size away jersey at their official store.

“With a bold and vibrant look, this new jersey puts future creators at the heart of its design, with expressive prints that represent the collective creativity of local minds,” read a Tottenham Hotspur statement.

“The dark base of this jersey serves as the perfect canvas for the progressive design, with its vibrancy accentuated by the blue trim details and the Venom Green Nike Swoosh, club crest and sponsor logo.”

In plain view, Tottenham’s away jersey does look more ‘artful’ and aesthetic than their plain white home uniform. However, the display seems to have received various criticisms from fans.

Many consider the selection of motifs were too bold and tends to be bad. In fact, there are also those who compare Tottenham’s away jersey with colorful bus seats.

“What have you guys done?” tweeted a Tottenham fan.

“Who at Tottenham approved the jerseys? Obviously no one wants to buy it,” another fan added.
