Tottenham cross MU to sign Pau Torres

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United failed to sign Villarreal centre-back, Pau Torres. Even though Man United had been linked with a 25-year-old player since last season, in fact the Red Devils were overtaken by Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United’s movement is too slow to open a gap for other clubs to participate in the hunt. The club is Man United’s rival in England, Tottenham Hotspur. They even take a more concrete approach.

As quoted from Sky Sports Italia, Tottenham Hotspur are leading the service of the Spanish centre-back rather than Man United. Tottenham took advantage of talks about the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso to try to recruit Torres.

Torres has a tag of 50 million pounds and the sale of Lo Celso will cost 20 million pounds. Tottenham will add their transfer money if they want to recruit the Villarreal academy product.

Pau Torres is still relatively young with international experience and quality of play. He already has 18 caps and one goal for the Spanish national team.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are looking to add strength to their squad to face the Champions League. So far they have recruited Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan and are also eyeing another Inter player, Alessandro Bastoni.
