Tottenham Hotspur is still waiting for Harry Kane’s certainty
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur is worried about challenging Manchester City in the 2020-2021 League Cup final. The Lilywhites are still waiting for the captain’s final condition, Harry Kane.
The League Cup Final will take place at Wembley Stadium, Sunday (25/4) at 22.30 WIB. Tottenham and Manchester City will fight for their first trophy this season.
However, two days before the match, Kane was still absent from following Tottenham’s training. The attacker suffered an ankle injury during the 2-2 draw against Everton last week.
Tottenham caretaker Ryan Mason still hopes to play Kane in the match. But he made sure not to force him to play while injured.
“I’m not really sure but Kane’s condition will be monitored hour by hour now. We will see how he feels in the next four hours, the next six hours and take a decision from there,” Mason said on the club’s official website.
“What Harry and I won’t do is put his body on the line if he doesn’t feel like it. We’re never going to put Harry in that position, absolutely not.”
The League Cup is the only trophy Tottenham can get this season. Naturally, the team from North London would go all out to make this happen.
But Kane’s absence will be a big problem for Tottenham. Their attack power would be much reduced without his presence.
Finding a Solution
Tottenham’s strength would have been much reduced without Kane. But that doesn’t mean their chance to beat Manchester City is closed.
Mason had an experiment when Tottenham defeated Southampton in the last match. He played Lucas Moura as the spearhead.
The experiment showed results as Tottenham won 2-1. It is possible that a similar scheme will be applied by Mason again if Kane really has to be absent.
