Two European Famous Coaches, Inspiration for Bima Sakti
DBasia.news – Listed in Group 2018 AFF Cup and meeting top coaches like Milovan Rajevac (Thailand) and Sven-Goran Eriksson (Philippines) apparently doesn’t make Indonesia national team coach Bima Sakti feels inferior.
Eriksson is famous in Europe. The Sweden coach brought Lazio achieved the Serie A in 2000. Two years later, Eriksson led England in the 2002 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Rajevac was the former Ghana coach in 2010 World Cup. In this Serbian coach’s hand, Michael Essien and friends qualified until the semifinal.
The two coaches would be Bima’s opponent in Group B AFF Cup. Refused to fear, the 42-year-old coach has the spirit to play against the world-class squad.
“It’s competition, everyone has the chance. Yesterday I went to London, I met Didier Deschamps and Marco van Basten. They presented that no coach in the world that could determine the result,” Bima said.
“But by the training and improving performance, they can. So, there’s no such thing like we will be the champion tomorrow. Most importantly, they have to fight,” Bima Sakti said.
Indonesia national team will start the journey of Group B against Singapore on November 9. Next, they will play against Timor Leste in Thailand home, and against the Philippines at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
