Two Lower Premier League Divisions Chose to Stop Competition

DBasia.news – English third and fourth division clubs chose to stop the 2019-20 season competition. League One and League Two were stopped due to the Corona virus pandemic.

Based on statements from EFL league operators, League One and League Two standings before the competition was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic was officially considered the final standings.

In League Two, Swindon Town was declared champion and will be promoted to League One with Crewe Alexandra and Plymouth Argyle. While one other promotional ticket will be contested by Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Colchester United, and Northampton Town through which is scheduled to take place June 18-29.

The Championships Division planned to continue to complete the competition on the pitch starting on June 20th, following the Premier League.
