U16 Vietnam Anticipate Indonesia

DBasia.news – U16 Vietnam national team coach, Vu Hong Viet, revealed that his team will play in an important match in 2018 U16 Asian Cup. As we know, Vietnam will meet Indonesia in the match at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Malaysia, Monday (24/9). Moreover, Indonesia surprisingly won against Iran in the first match.

The U16 Indonesia national team defeated the runner-up of 2016 U16 Asian Cup with a 2-0 score. Bagus Kahfi scored Garuda Muda goals at 4′ and Bagas Kaffa at 91′.

Whole Vietnam got 0-1 defeat by India by the penalty kick of Vikram Partap at 86′. Indonesia lead the standing with three points, while India are in the runner-up.

Ahead of the second match, Vietnam stay in the fourth position of Group C. Also Iran with no points.

“India played better than us. They controlled the ball well in the central field, while we didn’t control the match. We got conceded by the last-minute goal and the victory went to them. Congrats for India,” Vu Hong Viet said.

“Next we will play against Indonesia. Indonesia are difficult. They played really great in the first match. They are strong and organized,” he added.

This year, Vietnam met Indonesia in the group phase of 2018 U16 AFF Cup on August 2, where Vietnam got 2-4 defeat.

Previously, Vietnam also defeated by U16 Indonesia team in Jenesys tournament in Japan on March 2018. In the final round, Vietnam got 0-1 defeat by Indonesia.
