UEFA Don’t Indiscriminately Uphold Rules to European Clubs

DBasia.news – Aleksander Ceferin, President of UEFA, stressed that UEFA would not view reeds to European clubs who violated the rules, including one of them Manchester City.
Manchester City are under investigation after the UEFA supervisory committee Der Spiegel reported cheating on FFP. The Citizens reportedly disobeyed FFP regulations regarding club expenses and income.
According to the report, Manchester City threatened not to compete in European competition if proven guilty. However, not a few parties who doubt UEFA dare to take firm action against The Citizens.
Indeed, the issue of Manchester City violating the FFP has been rolling since a few seasons ago. However, UEFA seemed indifferent to the news. Besides Man City, Paris Saint-Germain was also included in the list of clubs suspected of violating the FFP.
To ward off accusations, Ceferin said UEFA would not selectively select cases of FFP violations. “We sometimes forget how dirty this industry is,” Ceferin told the New York Times.
There are fears, Manchester City and PSG will again escape UEFA’s punishment. Meanwhile, the lower clubs are not as lucky as Man City and Les Parisiens.
“If you do it right, you don’t need to sell yourself. If you’re not involved in a strange business, you won’t be damaged. You must stay bright and fair to anyone,” said the president.
Meanwhile, Manchester City tried to dodge the accusations made. According to Manchester City, the findings are not based on facts.
“The decision contained errors, misinterpretations, and confusion which basically stemmed from a lack of legal process. There are still important unresolved things to be proposed by Manchester City,” Ceferin explained.
