Unai Emery Blames Arsenal Fans

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Unai Emery blamed Arsenal fans for his dismissal this season before being replaced by Freddie Ljungberg and Mikel Arteta.

“There are several problems namely four captains; the problems that befell Mesut Oezil and Sead Kolasinac; transfer Nicolas Pepe, who needs time to adapt; and we also don’t play well, that’s for sure,” Emery said at Soccerway.

“It brought a bad result, there was no improvement, then the fans focused on me and they kicked me out.”

Unai Emery was fired by Arsenal at the end of November 2019 for failing to boost the performance of the London Cannon. At the end of his position, he was unable to bring the Gunners to victory in seven consecutive matches.

In total, Emery led Arsenal in the Premier League in 51 matches. Of the 51 matches, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his friends only won 25 times, 13 draws, and 13 defeats.

Two months after his dismissal, Emery gave his comments. He felt that he was always the target of criticism from Arsenal fans, which ended his contract termination. Even so, he also tried to remember positive things.

“I like having a funeral and mourning. After my dismissal, I dreamed of Arsenal for a month. That is a natural process and I overcome it all. When I no longer dream of them, I already know that I have overcome them,” said Unai Emery.
