Unai Emery Told Arsenal’s Dark Side
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Spanish coach Unai Emery revealed the dark side of his former team, Arsenal. Emery felt, he did not get support when he became captain of the Gunners.
Unai Emery began to coach Arsenal in July 2018. The manager carried a slick track record while training Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain. When training the two clubs, Emery won various achievements.
However, the manager failed to achieve the expectations the Gunners management wanted. Arsenal stumbled in the middle of the board. Mesut Ozil and his friends also often lost focus when leading.
Unai Emery rated, he could not do many things because Arsenal were in critical condition.
“It’s hard because everyone has no energy. Some people support you, but no atmosphere is felt. Relationships have changed,” explained Emery to the Guardian.
“That carried over to the pitch. Losing excellence when meeting Crystal Palace and Woverhampton Wanderers reflects our emotional state. We are not well and everything is not working.”
Unai Emery played 78 matches with Arsenal. Of these, he averaged 1.85 points per match.
“I spoke to the players after not seeing the desired team. Arsenal did not have commitment and unity,” continued the former Paris Saint-Germain tactician.
“That’s when I saw myself alone. The club left me and there was no solution.”
Unai Emery is still unemployed until now. The 48-year-old coach was linked with several clubs from LaLiga and the Premier League.
