DBasia.news – Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has a dream to make Arsenal the best team in England, Europe and the world. According to him, it takes patience to make it happen.
The 47-year-old Spaniard has only had his first season with Arsenal. Emery replaced Arsenal’s legendary former manager, Arsene Wenger, who resigned from the position he occupied for 22 years at the end of last season.
Emery came after completing two seasons of his contract with PSG (Paris Saint-Germain). The season of the man born in Hondarribia, November 3, 1971, was ‘colored’ with the ups and downs of Arsenal’s performance in all competitions that followed.
Nearing the end of the 2018-19 season, Arsenal are still competing to win the top four Premier League (Champions League zone) and fight for the Europa League title. Arsenal have reached the Europa League semi-finals and will play Valencia.
Emery more or less has seen the strength, weaknesses, and character of each player he has. Knowing this, Emery has the desire to make Arsenal the best European and world team. Arsenal are eligible to realize Emery’s ambitions.
“We want to bring this club (Arsenal) to the point when we become the best club in England and the world, but the process is long. Sometimes, like today, we have to talk about patience,” Emery told the Telegraph.
“We want to play in the Champions League, but we also know that our process must be traversed with patience as there are five very strong teams with players and very good performances,” he stressed.
Emery, who first felt the English football culture, admitted that if the Premier League, the world’s best league, was the most difficult league in the world because of the intense competition.
“Premier League is the most challenging league in the whole world. There is no other country with this difficulty to bring the top four teams to play in the Champions League,” Emery added.
“Maybe now in Spain, they have something in common – Valencia also has difficulty entering the top four, but here the biggest teams in the world play in the same league,” he concluded.
