DBasia.news – There’s no winter break for the clubs whose league still conducts the football matches, especially a day after Christmas, known as Boxing Day.
This is the first time for Arsenal manager, Unai Emery. No wonder, the 47-year-old manager just has his first season in England, and previously managed LaLiga and Ligue 1 clubs who have a winter break.
In the Boxing Day on 19th-week of Premier League, Mesut Ozil and friends would have an away match to AMEX Stadium, home for Brighton and Hove Albion on Thursday (27/12). Three days later, they would have a difficult match against the temporary table leader, Liverpool.
Responding to the tight schedule, Emery gives his comment. He would really enjoy the first experience.
“Usually the holidays come around perfectly for us every time, but I am still going to enjoy it working,” Emery said cited by Daily Mail.
“I think it’s very important for the supporters (to see teams play over Christmas). Playing against Brighton is perfect, Liverpool (Saturday) is perfect and playing on January 1 against Fulham is perfect. We are going to enjoy it… but only if we win,” he added.
The situation of the club based at Emirates Stadium isn’t really good. Even though they have returned to the victory track against Southampton, Arsenal still face the injuries. Lately, Henrikh Mkhitaryan added to the list.
