DBasia.news – A football match has led to a gun shooting incident. The culprit was the match referee, who was upset after receiving protest from one of the players.

As reported by Oklahoma’s News 4, the incident occurred at the Pauls Valley Sports Complex last weekend. Referee Davi Bazeth was in charge of the match.

According to eyewitness reports, one of the team’s players who played did not agree with the referee’s decision, Davi Bazeth. The two had an argument, until finally the player snatched a red card from the referee’s hands, leading to a push.

“The referee issued a red card and the player didn’t accept it,” said police officer Mitch McGill as reported by RT.com.

“This referee then ran from the football field to his vehicle, grabbed a firearm and fired one shot towards the crowd.”

The police were immediately contacted. Before the police arrived, it was reported that referee Bazeth had tried to escape, but was unable to get too far from the scene as he was ambushed by the police.

“Our officers, when responding to the call, were also able to dispel him as he was about to leave the field and immediately made an arrest,” McGill said.

The police confiscated the gun as evidence of this incident. Referee Bazeth is now facing a legal case related to his cowboy action, and faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, even though he has already paid bail so he is no longer in custody.

Meanwhile, the player involved in the incident with the referee was charged with violence, due to his behavior during an argument with Bazeth, even though he was not arrested.
