Upset with MU’s Tight Schedule, Solskjaer Is Angry

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is upset with the busy schedule that Manchester United are getting in the upcoming Premier League because they have to play three games in five days.

Liverpool’s visit to United’s home which was delayed due to protests at Old Trafford and the Premier League’s reluctance to rearrange the schedule made the Red Devils have to play on the sidelines of other league schedules.

United will travel to Aston Villa and compete on Sunday (9/5) before returning to Manchester and hosting Leicester City on Wednesday (12/5). The match against Liverpool, which was postponed, was played 2 days later (14/5).

“This (three games in five days) has never happened,” Solskjaer told BT Sport.

“It (the schedule) was made by people who have never played football at this level. Physically, it is impossible for the players to do it. After Roma, doing it again on Sunday through Thursday, it is impossible. So we have not been tackled well. But we have to play as well as we can,” said the 47-year-old coach.

Solskjaer made five changes as his team made it to the Europa League final despite losing in Rome. Solskjaer will then review who will play at Villa Park.

“We will need all of them in these four games,” he said. “We have to see how the team is doing on Sunday morning because we play in the afternoon.”
