DBasia.news – Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool’s tough defender, has high beliefs in the prospects of the team in the 2018-19 Champions League final. Whoever the opponent is between Ajax Amsterdam or Tottenham Hotspur, Van Dijk believes Liverpool are not afraid.
Liverpool advanced to the Champions League final after beating Barcelona 4-0. With that result, the Reds won 4-3 on aggregate. The four Liverpool winning goals were created by Divock Origi (2) and Georginio Wijnaldum (2).
Now, Liverpool will face between Ajax or Tottenham in the final match. At present, the score is in Ajax’s favor with a 1-0 advantage in the first leg.
Virgil Van Dijk is optimistic that he can beat anyone he will face in the top game. Van Dijk claimed Liverpool were always confident before the game began.
“We feel like we can beat anyone every time we enter the field. We will not leave the field to think we cannot defeat them,” said Van Dijk, as reported by FourFourTwo.
“It will be a challenging match for Ajax Amsterdam and Tottenham Hotspur. We will see who will come to Madrid, we will prepare it,” said Van Dijk.
Before competing in the Champions League final, Liverpool will undergo a match no less important in the Premier League. The Reds will host Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2018-2019 Premier League final match, at Anfield Stadium, Sunday (12/5). At present, Liverpool are one point behind Manchester City who occupy the top of the standings.
