Wanting to Bring in Jan Oblak From Atletico Madrid, Chelsea is Reportedly Ready to exchange Kepa

DBasia.news – Chelsea are reportedly aiming for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak as the number one target to be brought in to Stamford Brigde this summer. Reporting from the Daily Mail, Tuesday (7/14), the Blues management is ready to make Kepa Arrizabalaga as part of the agreement.

Kepa has had a difficult season and lacked the confidence of Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard. Because of this, Chelsea are looking for a replacement for Kepa. Oblak’s name was raised as a substitute and they are ready to make an offer to Atletico plus Kepa.

Oblak has a purchase clause of £ 120 million in a contract he signed last year. Oblak’s contract with Atletico will end in 2023. The Slovenian goalkeeper is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in the world in recent years. His brilliant performance was seen when bringing Atletico to defeat Liverpool in the Champions League this season.

His position as Atletico’s number one goalkeeper is almost irreplaceable. Therefore, it takes a large fee in being able to recruit him. As Los Rojiblancos certainly does not want to let go of the player easily and with a low value.

Atletico also has no intention of selling Oblak. But the financial impact due to the corona virus did not rule out the possibility that Atletico could remove Oblak in order to receive income.

Kepa is still struggling to win the hearts of fans. Kepa was contracted with a value of 71.5 million pounds. But the high value was not comparable with his appearance. Lampard also preferred to use Willy Caballero at the beginning of the competition.

Chelsea has been active in the hunt for players in the transfer market this summer. They have secured two players, namely RB Leipzig striker, Timow Werner and Ajax Amsterdam’s Hakim Ziyech. Chelsea are currently competing with Leicester City and Manchester United in the race for the top four to win the Champions League tickets next season.
