Willian Admits That He Is Still Adapting to Mikel Arteta’s Playing Pattern
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal’s new midfielder Willian admits that he is still adjusting to the method used by his manager, Mikel Arteta. The Brazilian player moved from Chelsea to Arsenal in the summer on a free transfer.
Willian is already a regular part of the Arteta team. “This is a cool new experience. I’ve never worked with a coach with that mindset,” Willian told Globo Esporte.
According to Willian, playing in a different position does not mean the player does not have freedom on the field.
“You have the freedom to move, but many times you have to respect the position, what the coach asks, the instructions, understand that it will be better for the team.” he added.
“Maybe you don’t touch the ball and get frustrated, but Mikel always said that wait a minute, the ball will arrive. I have learned a lot,” he concluded.
